A van collided head-on with a school bus on Monday on Xenia Avenue near Keowee Street, according to Dayton police

According to Sgt. David Reed of Dayton Police Department, the driver of the van was heading north on Keowee when he attempted to turn right on Xenia and his steering wheel got caught on his pant leg.

The van crashed into a Jeep Grand Cherokee that was stopped at the light on Xenia and then collided with the school bus head-on, Reed said.

The bus, which was carrying students from Ruskin Elementary School, was only half full at the time of the bus accident. None of the children were injured.

The van driver and his passenger were transported to Miami Valley Hospital. Dayton police are still investigating the accident.
