Students from Franklin Montessori School were taken to the hospital following a bus accident, said Dayton Police. Thankfully, none of the injuries appear to be serious.

The accident happened in the 100 block of Paul Lawrence Dunbar and Mercer Street in Dayton when a car pulled out in front of the bus forcing the driver to slam on the brakes to avoid a bigger crisis.

However, in doing so, some students were knocked forward, some fell into the isle and others hit their heads on the window, according to a Dayton Public Schools spokesperson.

Seven of the 24 children on the bus complained of neck injuries so they were taken to Children’s Medical Center for treatment as a precautionary measure.
