Three teens driving on the trunk of a slow-moving vehicle were thrown from the car; one teen has been hospitalized with a head injury, according to Ohio Highway Patrol.

On Tuesday night, just before 7:00 p.m. troopers were dispatched to Parkwood Avenue and found a 17-year-old girl on the street, according to dispatcher Jennifer Hovienetz.

She was transported to Southwest General Health Center in Middleburg Heights where she was listed in fair condition.

According to the dispatcher, a boy, 18, of Columbia Township was the driver of the car while the girl, 17, and her friends were hanging on to the back of the vehicle. The other two teens were gone before teens arrived at the scene.

Charges are pending as officials investigate the incident further.
