A 15-year-old boy died after suffering a fatal head injury in an accident at church camp, according to Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.

The boy was taken off of life support at Childrens Medical Center on Wednesday afternoon, said officials. The accident happened at church camp located at Cedarville University which was held for 1300 children.

Authorities say the boy was wearing a sumo wrestling suit and was in a wrestling match, when he jumped and struck his head.

Faculty and students at Cedarville University were hoping for a miracle. They had been holding prayer vigils for the boy and his family members.
