Milestone AV Technologies, in cooperation with the U.S. Product Safety Commission (CPSC), voluntarily recalled about 140,000 LCD television wall mounts.

The wall mount can crack when used with televisions 26 inches and larger or with televisions that include a DVD player. The television can then fall from the wall mount and pose a serious risk of injury to consumers standing nearby.

To date, the company has received 28 reports of incidents in which the mount has cracked and the TV has fallen, with no reported injuries.

The recalled products are INIT models -TVM103 and NT-TVM104.

Consumers are advised to stop using the wall mounts immediately and contact Milestone to receive a free repair kit.

Consumer Contact: Call Milestone toll-free at (877) 277-3707 between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. CT Monday through Friday or log on to the company’s recall Web site at www.milestone.com/initmount
