Russell Brands Recalls In-Ground Basketball Hoops

Russell Brands LLC in conjunction with the CPSC announced a voluntary recall of Spalding In-Ground Basketball Hoops because bolts located at the base can fail, posing a fall hazard and risk of injury to bystanders.

As of this date there have been no reports of injuries associated with the recalled item.

The recall involves Spalding In-Ground Basketball Hoops with a support pole and clear backboard. The model numbers included in the recall are listed below:

Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled hoops and to contact Russell Brands for instructions on receiving free replacement bulbs. For consumers that have the hoop in concrete, the company will arrange de-installation repair and reinstallation of the product at the consumer’s home.
