GE Recalls Ranges Due To Burn Hazard

GE Consumer & Industrial, in cooperation with the U.S. Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is recalling GE Profile Freestanding Dual Fuel Rangers because the wiring in the rear of the range can overheat, thereby posing a fire and burn hazard to users.

To date, the company has received 47 reports of overheated wiring, 33 which included the wiring catching fire. Of these, one fire caused structural damage to the home and 14 reports of minor property damage. But no injuries have been report.

The GE Profile 30” Freestanding Duel Fuel ranges are involved in the recall. Below are the brands, model numbers and serial numbers to help you identify your product and if it is included in the recall.

Consumers can contact GE for a free repair and are advised to stop using the recalled products.
