Outerwears Inc., in conjunction with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), has recalled Outerwears Funnel Pre-Filters because they can create a flash when removed from the fuel tank posing a fire hazard.

To date, the company has received report of three incidents associated with the recalled products, but no reported injuries.

The recalled filters are used to fuel-up off-road and with racing vehicles. The following model numbers are included in the recall: 20-2465-03, 20-2466-03, 20-2467-03, and 20-2474-03.

The products were sold in two sizes – small and large – and in two different shapes. “Outerwears” is the only marking on the product.

Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled funnel pre-filters and to contact the company for a full refund.

Consumer Contact: For more information, contact Outerwears Inc. at (800) 967-3450 between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. ET, from Monday to Friday, or visit the firm’s Web site at www.outerwears.com
