Man in Car Accident had been Shot

Police arrived at Valley Street, Wednesday morning, after receiving a report of a car accident and found the driver had crashed his vehicle because he'd been shot.

Dayton Police Department said the man, 38, of Dayton, had been shot behind 1228 Valley Street just a few minutes after midnight on Wednesday. He attempted to drive away but his vehicle crashed through a fence at Bickmore Avenue and Valley Street.

The man was transported to Miami Valley Hosptial where he was pronounced dead.

The accident is pending a full investigation by the Dayton Police Department Homicide Unit. As of Wednesday night, there were no arrests made.
